Emily of 2nd Street Market, a cute gift shop and boutique in Newark, Ohio, hired me to create some custom artwork for their business birthday celebration! One of the designs is a custom storefront illustration complete with textured color and a hand drawn aesthetic. This artwork was utilized on stickers and totes for the celebration! In addition to the storefront illustration, Emily wanted to add new graphic t-shirts to their collection. After a brainstorming session, we decided to feature some Newark elements in a design that promotes shopping and supporting the community. I included a picnic basket which is a nod to the iconic basket in Newark, along with carnations that are the state flower, and a street sign since the store is found on 2nd Street! This birthday celebration occurred in May so I tied in strawberries and springtime colors to match the season.
